Yōkaimaki is a 2D horror cooking and fishing simulator game, where you explore the deep seas of 19th-century Japan and its creatures that call it home.
As an art team member, I delivered weekly concept art and final assets for both character and environment. I collaborated with team members to develop and execute a cohesive art style, as well as conducting individual research to maintain the authenticity of the cultural and historical period of the YōkaiMaki.
Yōkaimaki was created by Open Alpha, a game-making organization. In a cohort of 27, we develop a game each semester, from ideation to alpha release.
